Prime Minister appoints Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment

On the afternoon of January 16, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced the Prime Minister’s decision appointing Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep as Deputy Minister of the Ministry.

At the ceremony, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang congratulated Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep on being entrusted by the Party and the State with an important responsibility at a time when the Ministry’s workload is increasing and the demands placed on its leadership are becoming ever higher.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister Tran Duc Thang presented the appointment decision to Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep.
 

According to Minister Tran Duc Thang, over the years the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has consistently received close attention from the Party Central Committee and the Government in strengthening its organizational structure, particularly through supplementing and improving the quality of its leadership cadre.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry and the Ministry’s leadership collective, Minister Tran Duc Thang warmly congratulated Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep on his appointment as Deputy Minister, affirming that this is also a shared joy for the Ministry as it gains an experienced and capable leader.

Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep has many years of experience working in the fields of agriculture and environment. He previously served at the Government Office and the Government Inspectorate, where he held the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Government Inspectorate. After joining the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, he successively assumed the roles of Chief of the Ministry Office and Director General of the Planning and Finance Department.

Throughout his career, Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep has consistently fulfilled his assigned duties, demonstrating strong leadership, management, and advisory capabilities, along with a high sense of responsibility and a commitment to maintaining and promoting unity within agencies and units.

Minister Tran Duc Thang emphasized that the appointment to the position of Deputy Minister is both an honor and a heavy responsibility. He urged Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep, in his new role, to quickly grasp the requirements of his duties, remain proactive and dedicated, fully leverage his experience and expertise, and work closely with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership to effectively carry out assigned tasks - especially urgent and unexpected missions as directed by the Party Central Committee and the Government.

The Minister also called on the Ministry’s leadership, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and affiliated units to continue coordinating with, supporting, and assisting Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep in his work, thereby contributing to improved leadership effectiveness and the successful fulfillment of the Ministry’s and the sector’s political tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep expressed his deep honor and emotion at being appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

He extended his sincere thanks to the Party Central Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, and the Prime Minister for their trust and appointment decision. He also expressed his gratitude to the Party Committee and the collective leadership of the Ministry, especially Minister Tran Duc Thang, for their continued support and favorable conditions throughout his previous assignments.

Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep further expressed his appreciation to central ministries and agencies, leaders of units, and all civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Ministry who have accompanied, supported, and trusted him during his career - particularly the units where he previously worked, including the Ministry Office and the Planning and Finance Department.

Before the Ministry’s leadership and conference participants, Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep committed to working in unity and solidarity with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Minister to effectively carry out the tasks assigned by the Party, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister to the agriculture and environment sector.

He affirmed his determination to devote all his efforts, intellect, and sense of responsibility to implementing a development vision for the sector that is green and sustainable; building ecological agriculture; protecting natural resources; proactively responding to climate change; and contributing to the goal of achieving double-digit growth during the 2026–2030 period.

Deputy Minister Dang Ngoc Diep also emphasized his commitment to strictly adhering to the leadership of the Party, complying fully with the law, upholding a spirit of innovation and decisive action, continuously enhancing his knowledge and political integrity, and striving to successfully fulfill all assigned responsibilities.
