Viet Nam's coffee pavilion drew nearly 1,000 visitors and 21 international partners right on the opening day of Expo Café Chile 2026.

Recently, the Viet Nam Trade Office in Chile participated in Expo Café Chile 2026 and showcased Vietnamese coffee products at the largest specialized coffee fair in this South American country, MEKONG ASEAN electronic magazine reported.

The fair took place at the Espacio Riesco Exhibition Center in the capital city of Santiago, gathering nearly 180 exhibitors from various countries and territories. It attracted about 30,000 visitors, including production, processing, import and distribution enterprises, coffee shop chains, experts and coffee-loving consumers.

At Expo Café Chile 2026, the Vietnamese pavilion, themed Viet Nam - El origen del café (Viet Nam - The Origin of Coffee), was designed with a strong Vietnamese cultural identity. The pavilion introduced a wide variety of coffee products with export strengths, such as Robusta, Arabica, roasted and ground coffee, instant coffee, specialty coffee, coffee capsules, drip bag coffee, and traditional phin filter brewing tools.

Over 20 enterprises participated in the pavilion, including Simexco DakLak, Vinacafé, Trung Nguyen Legend, Shin Coffee, Pull's Coffee and Matthew Coffee, featuring hundreds of coffee product models and typical agricultural products from famous raw material regions like Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Son La.

Besides coffee, the Viet Nam Trade Office in Chile also introduced many agricultural products, processed foods, and beverages with export potential, such as cashews, cocoa, spices, dried fruits, rice, and rice-based products, thereby contributing to comprehensively promoting the image of Vietnamese agricultural products to consumers and international partners.

On the opening day alone, the Vietnamese pavilion welcomed nearly 1,000 visitors and worked with 21 enterprises from Chile and Colombia, including importers, distributors, retail systems, e-commerce businesses, and food and beverage enterprises.

The Viet Nam Trade Office in Chile facilitated over 10 online B2B matchmaking sessions between Vietnamese enterprises and foreign partners right at the event. This created conditions for the parties to discuss import needs, technical standards, consumer trends, as well as cooperation possibilities in the coming time.

Notably, many Chilean partners highly appreciated the stable quality, distinctive flavor, competitive pricing, and large-scale supply capacity of Vietnamese coffee. Simultaneously, they expressed interest in green coffee beans, roasted and ground coffee, specialty coffee, instant coffee, deep-processed coffee, and products meeting criteria for sustainable development, traceability, and environmental friendliness. Several enterprises have initially agreed on plans to exchange samples, promote commercial negotiations, and study import possibilities in the near future.

Within the fair's framework, the Viet Nam Trade Office in Chile also organized cultural promotion activities, introducing the traditional phin brewing method and inviting guests to taste Vietnamese coffee right at the pavilion. These activities helped create a profound impression on visitors, helping Chilean consumers better understand the history, culture, and distinctive coffee-drinking style of Viet Nam.

According to the Viet Nam Trade Office in Chile, this South American country is one of the potential coffee consumption markets in the region, with an increasing demand trend for high-quality and deep-processed coffee products.

Amid fluctuating international trade, maintaining a presence at specialized fairs like Expo Café Chile is important in helping Vietnamese enterprises stay connected with partners, grasp market trends, and seek new cooperation opportunities. Concurrently, it contributes to building the image of Vietnamese coffee into a familiar choice for Chilean consumers, expanding commercial cooperation with partners in the Latin American region.

In 2025, Viet Nam organized a National Pavilion at Expo Café Chile for the first time. The pavilion left many positive marks, attracting the attention of numerous visitors, importers, roasters, distribution systems, retail chains, and coffee industry experts in the Latin American region.

This is an important premise for the Vietnam Trade Office in Chile to continue maintaining and expanding its participation scale at the fair in 2026, step by step building the image of Vietnamese coffee in one of the markets with the leading developed coffee consumption culture in the region.
