Polish businesses are increasing their sourcing of agricultural and food products from Viet Nam, including items such as shrimp and pepper.
This information was provided by Mr. Tomasz Parzybut, President of the Polish Meat Processors Association, at a recent event as part of the "Taste Europe" campaign in Ho Chi Minh City. According to him, Polish enterprises have a demand to increase purchases of agricultural and food products from Viet Nam, VnExpress Online Newspaper reported.
Specifically, one of Poland's leading beef producers is working with a partner in Ho Chi Minh City to explore shrimp supplies for a burger concept. Another company spent a day exploring opportunities to import pepper from Viet Nam.

According to data from the Customs Department, Viet Nam's exports of agricultural and food products (seafood, coffee, tea, pepper, etc.) to Poland reached nearly USD 138 million in the first half of this year, an increase of 4.3% over the same period in 2025. The export turnover of seafood and pepper both surged by 43%, reaching over USD 21 million and USD 10 million, respectively.
Mr. Piotr Harasimowicz, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH, under the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology), said the products his country buys heavily from Vietnamese enterprises include rice, coffee, noodles, coconuts, and seafood. He believes that the potential for economic cooperation in this sector has not yet been fully exploited.
Polish agri-food products are also increasingly expanding their access to the Vietnamese market. In the first half of the year, Viet Nam's imports of seafood, milk, and dairy products from this country reached nearly USD 36.7 million, up 73.5% from the same period last year.
The growth momentum mainly came from milk and dairy products, with turnover more than doubling (122.6%). Pork and apples are also increasingly embraced by Vietnamese people. Mr. Tomasz stated that Poland's frozen pork exports to Viet Nam last year increased by 34%.
Meanwhile, about 1,500 tons of this country's apples appeared in supermarkets last year, according to Ms. Bożena Wróblewska, President of the Management Board of the Promotion Agency under the Polish Chamber of Commerce. "We expect the volume to continue growing this year", she said. Poland is currently the largest apple producer in the EU.
Last year, the value of agri-food exports to Viet Nam reached nearly EUR 230 million. Of which, exports of live animals and animal-derived products accounted for over EUR 201 million, according to Statistics Poland (GUS).
Mr. Andrzej Arendarski, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, evaluated Southeast Asia as a strategic growth market. Among them, Viet Nam stands out thanks to its fast-growing economy and long-standing business relations with this country.
