Three universities partner to advance land management education

Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE), Daegu Cyber University and Daegu University have agreed to expand cooperation in land management and education development.

MoU signed by the three parties provides a basis for them to leverage their respective strengths and implement specific cooperation programs in education and training, scientific research and academic exchange.

Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Lan Huong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Rector of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, said the parties are developing a proposal for a Korean ODA project to develop training programs and strengthen training capacity in land management.

“The memorandum of understanding is not merely a formal ceremony. It marks a milestone in formalizing what the parties have been working toward over the past period and serves as the starting point for a longer-term cooperation journey among the three universities,” Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Lan Huong emphasized.

Daegu Cyber University and Daegu University have strengths in online education, digital technology and applied sciences. Through this cooperation, the two Korean universities expressed their desire to work with HUNRE in natural resources and the environment, particularly land management. They also asked HUNRE to facilitate and provide information for the development of the ODA project proposal in the coming period.

Based on the memorandum of understanding, cooperation among the three universities will go beyond the document itself and translate into a range of specific, practical activities in the coming period, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and academic conferences.

In the longer term, the parties hope to develop joint training programs to strengthen training capacity, expand the application of digital technologies, and promote research in land management, natural resources, and environmental studies.
