According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached USD 1.164 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Notably, pomelo exports exceeded USD 17.5 million - an impressive 60.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Vietnamese fresh pomelo is now exported to 12 countries and territories and has risen into the top 10 highest-earning fruit and nut export products nationwide.

During a visit to Vietnam in early 2023, U.S. Under Secretary of Agriculture Alexis Taylor gave glowing remarks about the fruit: “Excellent, 10 out of 10. I look forward to seeing this pomelo on shelves in the U.S. and buying it as a local consumer.”
