C.P. encouraged to build a chain of links with Vietnamese farmers, cooperatives and enterprises

On May 15, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy received and worked with Chairman of C.P. Group Soopakij Chearavanont

At the meeting, C.P. Group shared its outstanding results and achievements over many years of investment, production and business in Vietnam, especially in the field of livestock and food processing.

A typical example is that C.P. Vietnam has invested in a complex of raising, slaughtering, processing and exporting broiler chickens in Binh Phuoc province with a total investment of over 200 million USD. The project has a designed capacity of handling 50 million broilers per year and has officially come into operation since the end of 2021. With the attention and active support from ministries, branches and local authorities, the enterprise has so far successfully exported to some demanding markets such as Japan, Hong Kong, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of C.P. Group, expressed his wish to continue to receive stronger support and attention from the Government and ministries and branches to expand exports to potential markets such as Europe and Arab countries.

In addition, C.P. Group proposes that the Government and ministries and sectors of Vietnam promote links between domestic enterprises to develop production, proactively source raw materials for the domestic animal feed industry.

“C.P. Group will accompany the Vietnamese livestock industry to orient the sustainable development of the industry, through technology transfer, improving production capacity and promoting the green, circular agricultural model, for the common benefit of the people and the national economy. Thereby contributing to raising the position of Vietnamese agricultural products in the global market”, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanon affirmed.

Acquiring sharing of the Chairman of C.P. Group, Minister Do Duc Duy assessed C.P. as a typical model in sustainable agricultural development, towards the community that many Vietnamese enterprises need to learn from.

The Minister of Agriculture and Environment also highly appreciated the role of C.P. in promoting the livestock value chain, creating jobs and improving the competitiveness of the Vietnamese livestock industry. At the same time, he acknowledged the Group's contributions to community activities, such as developing OCOP products, supporting the conservation of red-crowned cranes and planting trees, etc.

In the coming time, Minister Do Duc Duy suggested that C.P. Group continue to improve the quality of livestock products, increase the application of technology, digital transformation and green transformation to maximize productivity in the production and processing of chicken meat. Thereby expanding the export of Vietnamese branded chicken meat to the European market.

"I encourage C.P. Group to build a chain of links with Vietnamese farmers, cooperatives and enterprises. At the same time, implement training programs, improve management capacity for staff and continue to replicate community development models and social and environmental responsibility in Vietnam", Minister Do Duc Duy expressed.
