On November 14, 2025, in Washington D.C., the Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in Viet Nam (PSAV), the National Agricultural Extension Center (NAEC), the PepsiCo Foundation, PepsiCo, and CARE signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the "New Season" project, which is Phase II of the "She Feeds the World" project.
Phase II of the project runs from January 2026 to December 2028 in the provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Thanh Hoa, strategically focuses on regenerative agriculture and inclusive value chains to respond to climate change. The project expects to directly support 13,600 small-scale farming households, including 8,160 women and 5,440 men, and indirectly impact 73,400 people.
Over the next three years, the New Season Project aims to improve the income, social status, and climate change resilience of small-scale farming households, particularly ethnic minorities and women in the Central Highlands and Northern Viet Nam.
Director of the International Cooperation Deparment, Director of PSAV Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, Vice President of Global Government Relations PepsiCo Caroline Berson, and Vice President of Global Policy Advocacy CARE Crystal Lander signed the Memorandum of Understanding witnessed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung, leaders of PepsiCo Foundation, Care and representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States. The New Season Project focuses on three interconnected goals to build sustainable and climate-resilient food systems. First, through the objective of Positive Agriculture, the project enhances the capacity of small-scale farming households to practice regenerative agriculture. This supports the improvement of livelihoods adapted to climate change and strengthens sustainable food supplies.
Second, the project aims to create Inclusive Value Chains by helping producers access essential resources such as inputs, finance, technology, and market opportunities equally. Finally, to replicate the impact, the project will develop, document, and spread successful regenerative agriculture models. These models will be encouraged to connect with FIH-V for replication and more sustainable development.
The "New Season", project Phase II of the "She Feeds the World" project in Viet Nam, is part of the global program implemented by the PepsiCo Foundation and CARE to support small-scale farming households in accessing resources, knowledge, and confidence to increase productivity, improve nutrition, and bring a better life to families and communities. The implementation of the New Season Project marks a meaningful new chapter for this influential initiative in Viet Nam.
