MAE in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will finalize the organization plan in Q4 2026.

On October 1, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung chaired a meeting to review preparations for Viet Nam’s participation in GREEN EXPO 2027, including plans for the Viet Nam Pavilion, exhibition content, products and models, as well as the organization of Viet Nam National Day.

According to the report presented at the meeting, the Japanese side has agreed to designate June 1, 2027 as Viet Nam National Day at GREEN EXPO 2027. Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will finalize a submission to the Prime Minister on organizing Viet Nam National Day at the event.

Refining the concept for the Viet Nam Pavilion

As the focal unit coordinating activities related to the development and organization of the Viet Nam Pavilion, Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agro Trade Promotion Center (Agritrade), said the center has finalized and issued a set of criteria for selecting content, products, models and solutions to be showcased at the Viet Nam Pavilion.

Agritrade is currently working with the Japanese Organizing Committee and a JICA-supported consulting team to discuss and refine the overall concept, design plan and orientation for the exhibition content. The set of criteria will serve as a basis for compiling, reviewing and selecting representative content, products, models, solutions and technologies that are appropriate for display at the Viet Nam Pavilion.

The exhibition content is being developed around thematic groups and fields aligned with Viet Nam’s overall orientation for GREEN EXPO 2027. The proposed content groups include green agriculture; key and high-value agricultural products and OCOP products; greenery and landscape; handicrafts; science and technology; innovation; and various applications of digital technology.

Based on feedback from members of the Organizing Committee, Agritrade will continue working with the consulting unit and relevant agencies to refine the concept, design plan, exhibition content and related components, ensuring alignment with the theme of GREEN EXPO 2027, requirements set by the Japanese side and the overall program timeline.

Focus on completion in Q4 2026

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung asked localities, ministries, sectors and units under the Ministry to continue coordinating closely and accelerate preparations. Agritrade was tasked with incorporating feedback from the Organizing Committee and its assisting team to finalize Viet Nam’s concept and theme for GREEN EXPO 2027, before completing the dossier for submission to the competent authority for approval.

According to requirements set by the Japanese side, preparations related to the design, technical documentation, exhibition, transportation, installation and trial operation of the Viet Nam Pavilion must be completed in the final months of 2026 and early 2027.

In Q4 2026, the key task is to finalize and agree on the plan for the Viet Nam Pavilion, including its concept, key message, visual identity, spatial design and orientation for exhibition content.

At the same time, the relevant units will finalize the list of participants in the Viet Nam Pavilion based on the criteria already issued, as well as compile, review and select representative products, models, solutions, technologies and other featured content.

Technical dossiers and procedures required by the Japanese side will also be completed, focusing on design, activity registration, technical equipment, transportation of goods and conditions required for the installation of the Viet Nam Pavilion.

In addition to the pavilion, Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung also identified preparations for Viet Nam National Day at GREEN EXPO 2027 as a key task. The draft program for Viet Nam National Day is expected to be completed in Q4 2026 for further consultation, refinement and implementation of subsequent preparations.
