Vietnam will host the 4th Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit for the first time in 2025.

The P4G Summit occurs from April 14 to 17, 2025, under the theme “Sustainable and People-Centered Green Transition.” The event is expected to welcome approximately 1,000 delegates from 40 countries.

This event showcases Vietnam’s strong commitment to working alongside the international community and fellow P4G member countries to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote green growth and sustainable development at national and global levels.

The P4G Summit will serve as a key platform for raising collective awareness and sharing experiences, best practices, and resources within the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. The central theme emphasizes the community awareness in shaping a green future and highlights the importance of inclusive participation in the green transition.

Within the P4G Summit’s framework, ministerial-level sessions will focus on key sectors such as finance, technology, and innovation for green growth.

In addition, Vietnam is expected to receive P4G financing for projects in energy transition, green transportation, green agriculture and food supply chain, zero-waste industries, and digital water management solutions. Vietnam also plans to advance several joint green energy initiatives with P4G partners such as the Netherlands, Denmark, and South Korea, among others.

The Summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of significant documents, including the “Hanoi Declaration on P4G”—with a strong emphasis on people-centered development—and the P4G Joint Statement, reaffirming enhanced collaboration with multilateral organizations and mechanisms to promote green growth.

P4G comprises nine member countries—Denmark, Vietnam, South Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and South Africa—and five international partner organizations. Since its founding in 2017, P4G has provided financial and technical support to small and micro enterprises working in climate change mitigation and adaptation. The initiative focuses on five priority areas: Reducing food loss and waste; Climate-smart agriculture; Sustainable water resources management; Renewable energy; Zero-emission transportation. In 2017, Vietnam was one of 7 founding members of the P4G Summit.
