Vietnam’s sturgeon output grew at an average rate of more than 49% per year between 2007 and 2023, placing the country among the world’s six largest sturgeon producers.

This will help improve survival rates, boost efficiency, conserve water resources, protect ecosystems, and ensure product traceability.
At the same time, production models need to be diversified, with enterprises taking the lead. Stronger partnerships between companies and local households are encouraged to link production with markets, ensure quality transparency, reduce costs, increase competitiveness, and enhance the brand value of Vietnam’s cold-water fish.
