An estimated 25,000 people in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines will join the 'Act for a Green Planet' campaign to mark World Environment Day.
The For a Green Future Foundation, in collaboration with member companies and affiliates of Vingroup and various partners, has just launched the "Act for a Green Planet" campaign. The program is simultaneously deployed across 34 provinces and cities in Vietnam, along with three international locations in Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines this June.
The organizing committee expects the campaign to attract over 25,000 participants with four key activities: A general environmental cleanup at 38 locations on the morning of June 5; the "Zero-Emission Commute Day - Green Commute for a Green Future" movement; the environmental-themed video creation contest "Green Creativity Challenge"; and an interactive livestream series titled "Conquering Green Knowledge" during the first week of June.

The participating forces focused on collecting plastic waste, plastic bags, and domestic waste at beaches, urban parks, residential areas and public spaces. This activity aims to minimize ecosystem pollution, improve the quality of life and promote sustainable development for each locality.
According to the organizers, the event aims to form a network of responsible green citizens, thereby spreading the spirit of environmental protection and inspiring sustainable lifestyles across Southeast Asia.
Dr. Le Thai Ha, CEO of the For a Green Future Foundation, stated that expanding the scale to Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines marks a new developmental milestone for the foundation. According to her, the campaign's goal is not only to clean up the environment but also to elevate Vietnam-initiated initiatives to a regional level.
Through these activities, the For a Green Future Foundation hopes to connect multicultural communities to join hands in solving sustainable development challenges on a global scale.
