HUSCO and the Netherlands-based Golden Gate BCE Global sign a Memorandum of Understanding to promote water resource management, regenerative agriculture, and the transfer of green technologies.
On July 15 in Hanoi, HUSCO (Natural Science Company), a science and technology enterprise under the VNU University of Science, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Netherlands-based Golden Gate BCE Global to strengthen cooperation in water resource management, sustainable agriculture, and the transfer of European green technologies to Viet Nam.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work together on research, technology transfer, and project development in water conservation and restoration, smart agricultural monitoring systems, digital resource management platforms, and software for greenhouse gas inventories and carbon footprint tracking.

Photo: HUSCO.The partnership also covers the development and application of biochar, biofertilizers, microbial products, and other bio-based agricultural materials, including biodegradable mulch films and moisture-retaining materials. In addition, the two organizations will promote regenerative agriculture, circular agriculture, agroforestry, biodiversity conservation, and bio-based circular value chains.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh, Director of HUSCO, said the MoU lays the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership. He noted that the cooperation areas align closely with Viet Nam's green growth strategy and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
"By combining HUSCO's research capacity and understanding of Viet Nam's agricultural conditions with Golden Gate BCE's international expertise and European technologies, we can develop practical solutions that benefit communities, businesses, and the environment", Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh said.
Mr. Ywert Visser, Director of Golden Gate BCE in Hanoi and Vice Chairman of EuroCham's Food, Agri & Aqua Business Sector Committee, said the signing marks the start of a long-term partnership based on innovation, science, and international cooperation.
He said Viet Nam has shown a strong commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, and that with suitable technologies, international experience, and capable local partners, businesses and farming communities can accelerate their decarbonization efforts.
Both sides expect the MoU to support future projects in research, human resource development, technology transfer, and investment in water management, sustainable agriculture, and climate adaptation, while expanding cooperation across Viet Nam and the Asia-Pacific region.
