On the afternoon of July 10, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung hosted a courtesy reception for Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group).
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung welcomed Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of C.P. Group, during his visit to Viet Nam to discuss strategic cooperation opportunities in advancing smart agriculture, food supply chains, AI application in corporate governance, digital ecosystem development, and sustainable growth in Viet Nam.

He noted that agriculture, technology, trade, and sustainable development remain sectors with substantial potential for further effective cooperation in the coming period.
The Deputy PM said the Vietnamese Government always welcomes Thai businesses with long-term investment commitments, including C.P. Group, to continue expanding their production and business activities in Viet Nam. He acknowledged and highly appreciated C.P. Group's contributions over more than 30 years of operations in Viet Nam, particularly in the agriculture and food sector through its integrated system Feed - Farm - Food from farm to family, which has helped strengthen food security and food safety, create jobs, and promote livestock production, deep processing, and exports.
Sharing Viet Nam's development orientation for the next stage, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the country regards science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of growth. In agriculture, Viet Nam is prioritizing the development of a modern, ecological, circular, and low-emission agricultural sector, with greater application of high technology, enhanced food safety, improved traceability, and higher value added for agricultural products.
In that spirit, the Deputy PM expressed his hope that C.P. Group would continue accompanying Viet Nam by increasing investment in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, particularly in high-tech agriculture, smart agriculture, low-emission production, and modern traceability solutions, thereby helping enhance the productivity, quality, and competitiveness of Viet Nam's agricultural sector.

Group Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont said the Group has consistently pursued a development strategy centered on the application of cutting-edge technologies in production.
According to Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, C.P. Group integrates digital technologies, AI, and other advanced solutions into every stage of its operations, from farm design to the implementation of new projects, in order to optimize energy use, improve productivity and product quality, and enhance value creation. The Group is also investing in renewable and clean energy, promoting the reuse of materials, and adopting the latest technologies to advance a modern and sustainable agricultural model.
The C.P. Group Chairman reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting Viet Nam's transition toward modern, smart, and sustainable agriculture by strengthening cooperation in digital transformation, AI applications, high technology, and green production solutions, thereby contributing to the development of both the agricultural sector and the broader Vietnamese economy.

The Deputy PM affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue to accompany and create favorable conditions for foreign enterprises, including C.P. Group, to invest, operate, and achieve long-term success in Viet Nam.
Earlier, the C.P. Group Chairman and his delegation also held a working session with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Quoc Tri.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Tri, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment hopes that investors, including C.P. Group, will continue to support the development of Viet Nam's livestock sector by focusing on five high-value areas: developing high-quality livestock breeds; strengthening biosecurity and disease control capacity; expanding deep processing to increase product value; building transparent and traceable production chains; and accelerating the adoption of digital transformation, AI, and precision agriculture throughout the production process.
