In 2025, Vinh Long stepped up trade promotion, strengthened business linkages, expanded markets, enhanced the value of local products, and promoted sustainable consumption.

Looking back at the province’s socio-economic development landscape, trade promotion activities have played a vital role as a “bridge” connecting businesses with the market. Through proactive and flexible organization and implementation of programs, the Vinh Long Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center has closely supported enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities in promoting products, seeking partners, and expanding market access.

Over the past year, a wide range of trade promotion activities has been organized on both a large and small scale and in various formats. The Center hosted four provincial-level trade fairs, one startup market, and three “Vietnamese goods to rural areas” fairs, while also participating in 28 trade promotion events both within and outside the province. These platforms have provided practical opportunities for businesses and cooperatives to showcase their products, reach consumers, and strengthen commercial connections.

Through these activities, more than 200 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households participated, showcasing hundreds of distinctive local products. Notably, these included OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, processed agricultural goods, and many high value-added items. Diversifying trade promotion formats has not only helped businesses increase sales opportunities but also gradually built and strengthened their brands in the marketplace.

Beyond the domestic market, Vinh Long has also placed strong emphasis on expanding trade promotion to interprovincial and international markets. In 2025, the Vinh Long Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center organized three business missions to potential markets such as Hong Kong, Japan, and Laos to explore cooperation opportunities, expand distribution channels, and better understand evolving consumer demand.

At the same time, the province actively participated in large-scale supply-demand connection programs such as Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 and Vietnam Foodexpo 2025. At Vietnam Foodexpo 2025, Vinh Long organized a shared pavilion with six booths, bringing together more than 20 participating enterprises. The showcased products primarily reflected the province’s strengths, including processed agricultural products, coconut-based goods, fresh fruits, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products.

Vinh Long’s booths attracted strong interest from importers and businesses both domestically and internationally. Through these engagements, many local enterprises had the opportunity to connect with potential partners, capture market trends, and gradually orient their products toward export, thereby enhancing competitiveness.

In addition to traditional trade promotion, the Center has placed particular emphasis on digital transformation in commercial activities. Supporting businesses in accessing and participating in e-commerce platforms has become a key solution for expanding distribution channels.

To date, the Center has assisted 238 enterprises and cooperatives in listing nearly 1,000 OCOP products on the province’s e-commerce platform. This effort has not only broadened consumer access but also contributed to modernizing business practices in line with the digital economy.

Furthermore, linkages with distribution systems, supermarkets, and retail chains have been strengthened, enabling local products to gradually penetrate more stable and sustainable sales channels.

Overall, the achievements in trade promotion have significantly boosted production and business activities, enhanced product value, and improved the competitiveness of Vinh Long enterprises. At the same time, they provide a solid foundation for the province to pursue deeper, more sustainable economic integration.

Looking ahead, the Vinh Long Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center aims to continue innovating its content and methods toward greater professionalism and effectiveness. Key priorities include accelerating the adoption of digital platforms, strengthening regional linkages, expanding international cooperation, and improving the quality of supply-demand connection activities.

With this orientation, Vinh Long expects to further support enterprises in bringing local products to wider markets, reinforcing their position both domestically and internationally, and contributing to the province’s socio-economic development in the new phase.
