According to VnEconomy, the event is expected to become a key platform connecting businesses, investors, policymakers and industry stakeholders, helping to strengthen international cooperation and accelerate the development of Viet Nam's smart energy ecosystem.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Dr. Mai Duy Thien, Chairman of the Viet Nam Clean Energy Association, said that meeting the country's growing electricity demand will require not only substantial investment and advanced technologies but also a closely connected ecosystem involving government agencies, businesses, research institutions and experts. He noted that an international cooperation platform such as FEEX 2027 would provide opportunities to showcase, transfer and deploy innovative technologies more widely across Viet Nam.

These trends require power systems to become cleaner, more reliable, smarter and more flexible in order to support sustainable development and Viet Nam's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
According to the organizers, Viet Nam is well positioned to become one of the region's most attractive energy markets thanks to its ongoing industrialization, strong inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI), and the rapid growth of high-tech industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers. However, they also pointed out that the market continues to face several challenges, including limited connectivity among stakeholders, a lack of collaborative initiatives, and insufficient trade promotion activities capable of turning business networking into concrete investment projects.
Dr. Mai Duy Thien emphasized that Viet Nam's energy transition should focus on three strategic pillars: improving policy and regulatory frameworks, upgrading power infrastructure, and developing a competitive energy market. He stressed that international cooperation will play a critical role in mobilizing green finance, facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies - including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and smart grids - while also strengthening governance capacity and workforce development.

As part of the launch event, the FEEX 2027 Organizing Committee and the Vietnam Clean Energy Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish a stronger business network, promote trade and technology innovation, and expand international partnerships. In addition to the exhibition, FEEX 2027 will feature a series of thematic conferences, business matching sessions, and panel discussions focusing on investment opportunities, innovation, and the development of energy infrastructure to support Viet Nam's digital economy.
