Sharing about this year's event, VWSA President Nguyen Ngoc Diep stated: The water sector is entering a phase of profound transformation under the impact of digital technology, climate change and sustainable development requirements. Digital transformation not only helps improve management and operational efficiency but also contributes to enhancing forecasting capacity, risk management and ensuring water security.

Viet Nam Water Week 2026 is not only a place to introduce advanced technologies and solutions but also a forum for policymakers, businesses, experts and international partners to exchange experiences, share knowledge and build cooperative initiatives for the sustainable development of the water sector in Viet Nam and the region.

Following the success of previous editions, Viet Nam Water Week 2026 continues to affirm its position as an important annual event in the Vietnamese water sector, while gradually becoming a prestigious specialized forum in Southeast Asia.

The specialized exhibition area covers about 4,000 square meters and is expected to host 200 organizations and businesses with around 250 booths from 20 countries and territories.

Participating businesses and organizations will introduce advanced technologies, equipment, solutions, and management models in the fields of: urban water supply and sewerage; water supply and wastewater treatment; water sector digital transformation; data governance and smart operation; water loss reduction; automation and remote control; energy saving and carbon emission reduction; circular economy; water reuse; environmental treatment technology, water filtration technology; waste management, treatment and recycling; and green solutions and technologies serving sustainable urban development.

Parallel to the exhibition, Viet Nam Water Week 2026 will organize a series of thematic seminars with the participation of state management agencies, international organizations, experts, scientists and domestic and international businesses. Key topics include: digital transformation of the water sector in the new era; solutions to adapt to climate change; gender equality in businesses; promoting private investment and public-private partnerships (PPP) in the water sector; along with open technical seminar sessions; talk shows and B2B matchmaking.

Through seminars, exhibitions, business networking (B2B Matching Program) and technical exchanges, Viet Nam Water Week 2026 will create a space for substantial connection among management agencies, businesses, development organizations and experts to promote innovation, share international experiences and strengthen cooperation in the water sector.

The program is expected to have the participation of many prestigious international organizations such as the World Bank (WB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the International Water Association (IWA), along with water associations, management agencies, businesses, and experts from Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hungary, Finland and more.

In particular, for the first time, Viet Nam Water Week is held concurrently with the National Congress of the Viet Nam Water Supply and Sewerage Association for the VII term (2026 - 2031). This will be an important event for the Vietnamese water sector community in the next 5-year period, marking a generational transition in leadership while determining strategic development directions for the sector amid digital transformation, climate change and national infrastructure modernization requirements.

The Congress will discuss key issues on mechanisms, policies, human resource development, application of science and technology, digital transformation and expanding international cooperation to improve the operational efficiency of Viet Nam's water sector in the new phase.

After 5 years of continuous organization, Viet Nam Water Week has gradually become an annual forum for the water sector community in Viet Nam and the region, contributing to connecting knowledge, technology and resources, promoting international cooperation, and enhancing the water sector's adaptive capacity in the face of new challenges.
